The formula
free payout = stake × (decimal − 1) · hedge = free payout ÷ hedge decimal- SNR free bet returns profit only (stake not returned)

Worked example
A $50 free bet at +300 yields $150 profit. Hedging at −250 (1.40 decimal) needs a $107.14 cash hedge, locking $42.86 — an 85.7% conversion.
