bwin's numbers disagree with each other, and the disagreement is the review. The UK App Store rates the bwin Sports app 4.7 from 4,500 ratings. The eleven reviews quoted on this page, ten of them from the App Store, run eight one-star to one five-star, and the one-star reviews are specific: a July 2026 UK reviewer "stuck in endless process loops to get money out", another whose accumulator was voided mid-match, another who found bwin's football odds shorter than a rival's on the same fixtures. "Unreliable site/app" is the most-cited con at five mentions, "poor customer service" at four. The store average is real; so is the sample. What it describes is a product that works well enough for most people to rate it, and badly enough when it fails that the people it fails write it down.

On paper it is as solid as a UK bookmaker gets. The Gambling Commission's register lists bwin.com under LC International Limited, Entain's Gibraltar entity, with casino, betting, bingo, pool and intermediary licences all active since 1 July 2019 under 054743-R-330863-014, and no regulatory actions recorded against it. That is the licence that brings GamStop, affordability checks and an independent dispute route with it — which matters more here than usual, because the complaints quoted are exactly the kind that route exists for.

One inconsistency worth knowing: the App Store description still says the app is licensed to ElectraWorks Limited under a different licence number. Both are Entain companies, and the Commission's register is the authority, but the listing has not caught up.

bwin is a football-and-tennis book from a listed group with a clean regulatory record and a very large, mostly satisfied user base. The reviews here are the minority report, and they are about the one thing that matters most — getting paid out. If that is your priority, read them before you deposit, and know that the UKGC's ADR route is there if you need it.
